John is a thorough and trustworthy inspector. I worked with him twice in my home buying process. The first time, the inspection surfaced potential significant foundation and other structural issues that were recommended for further evaluation. The sellers got hung up on me wanting further evaluation and became very negative. John took my calls and emails with questions I had on the situation. Ended up backing out of that via mutual agreement. I am in the middle of inspection contingency on my next accepted offer and I knew I wanted to work with John again. He’s very communicative through the process. This inspection is much less worrisome, although of course there were normal items to note and suggestions for follow up. I feel safer with this purchase because I know from the last experience he will be honest if there are major concerns. It isn’t a perfect house, but his report and in person feedback throughout the inspection helps me to know what I will need to monitor and budget for. Not only that but again I know he is a call or email away with any follow up questions. He also quickly made himself available to accommodate our scheduling/availability. Thank you John!

My fiance and I were going to buy a house and I put a contingency on inspection. This would be our first home so we wanted to make sure it was okay. Turns out John found a bunch of things wrong and stuff that should have had permits that didn't and the icing on the cake was the state of the attic with all the mold, poor ventilation, and the roof missing singles/soft spots.

John saved us so much money! We ended up backing out of the deal. John was very thorough and told it like it is. I like that! He even met me to give me a refund for the radon test that we totally forgot to do because there was so much wrong with the house we didn't bother, but we already paid for it lol ?

Overall, my favorite part of it was reading the report. It was color coded and easy to understand and all online so it was just simple!

EDIT: We ended up using John again for another home inspection and I'm very impressed by how accurate his findings were! We got an electrician out there and an insulation contractor and they both agreed with John's findings and now the seller is taking care of these items for us.

So glad we could work it out and it wouldn't have been possible without John! I will always be hiring him especially if we sell the house down the road!
