This company is a very family orientated! Dennis came out within a day to fix an unknown leak/pipe burst under my trailer. Unsure of what pipes had burst during freezing weather he was efficient, professional and explained thoroughly what was being done, why and what to prevent future problems from happening! He was very helpful outside of posted business hours! Very grateful to have had my issues resolved in a timely manner!! Would recommend!

My experience wtrh A-1 Suburban Plumbing was great. It was a home warrenty call from AWR. The tech was friendly and offered options. I can't remember his name but he said he was from Cedar Lake. I would use them again.

Beware! Purchased a “Pivotal Home Solution” via Nicor last August for water and sewer line protection. After paying for 1 year I finally needed a service call. The service technician assigned was from A1 Suburban plumbing. He took a look at my issue and called Pivotal for authorization to clear my clog in my line. He called Valentina from Pivotal who quickly declined my service saying my pipe needed to be a minimum of 6 inches. I’ve had service from other plumbers and they never had an issue clearing the line. When I signed up there was no stipulation on pipe size. I was however given an estimate of $4,700 to install an outside clean out. Nice bate and switch. I paid a whole year for something I was not able to use. I get the feeling theses companies work together and when they decline the service they try to sell up. Awful experience by both companies. Don’t walk “Run”!

I called to have my septic tank pipe cleaned because it's clogged and Jake was the service tech. He told me to dig out my tank and my distribution box to. He said he'd be back yesterday after I got done. IT IS A 24 HOUR SERVICE!!!!!!!
So we dug it out in less then 1 hour and I took pictures and sent them. LIKE I WAS TOLD!
I wait for 3 hours for a response. Nothing, so I called them and I got an answering service. They took my information and said. Someone will be contacting you.
14 hours later I contacted them again making sure they got the pictures. They did get them and supposedly Jack was talking to his supervisor about my house. LIES!
Then she text messages me telling me he can't come until Tuesday next week.
BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS BATE AND SWITCH, FAULSE ADVERTISING COMPANY!!!!!!!!

They called us in 4 hrs from when Nicor service sent them the emergency job to be done. After 4 hrs we were contacted and told Daniel would be on his way and would call us to verify when he would be arriving and Daniel never called. The service called us again and said Daniel was in route to us and should be arriving soon. Again Daniel never called and never showed up and we wait 8 hrs with everything ready as they asked us to do and nothing ever was done. Tried to contact Daniel all we got was the answering service and they told us they would call him. and still nothing was done terrible company !!!!!! We followed the employee tracking info that comes from the company and seen Daniel put down he arrived he came in and did the inspection and repaied the issue and put down he completed it. THAT WAS ALL FALSE !!!!! Daniel never called never came never inspected and never did service to are home and never came in to our house to complete a job that was needed and never did any work for us very untruthful and unprofessional company should be flagged and black listed for lying and not doing the jobs they are giving Feel they are just ripping off customers and business with their false reports of job being serviced !!!!!!!!! A 1 suburban plumbing is a terrible company poor execution of services !!!!!!

I have a Nipsco (NWI) home warranty plan for plumbing - i needed a pipe replaced on a sink. Nipsco sent out Charlie from A1. He fixed the pipe, explained that I needed an additional part (easy purchase from Home Depot or Menards) and then answered my questions about another plumbing related problem I was having. He explained that my home warranty would not cover the service that I needed, so I asked him to write up a quote to have it done. This is not the problem of the plumbing company - this is the warranty service provider's shortcoming.
Charlie came out and rodded the specific line that has created a problem - he was unable to get the line clear draining w/out backing up, so he recommended hydrojetting of the specific line. This is also not a covered warranty service. And unfortunately - A1 does main line hydrojetting only. Charlie also gave me a price range of what to expect for the line specific hydrojetting. In fact - he was able to offer an explanation or possibility for everything I asked.
I had a well known plumbing service provider come out - the red flag initially should have been the agent not being able to provide me a ballpark starting figure for hydrojetting. The plumber came out and quoted a total cost of over 200% of the number that Charlie gave me! And they also wanted to perform work (rodding) that I already had done (and that would have been at an over 300% of what I have already paid to date). Thankfully, I fould a different plumbing service that gave me a number right in line w/ the original quote from A1. I will absolutely use A1 Suburban Plumbing for any future issues, and will specifically request Charlie for service everytime.

Would give zero stars if possible. Had issues with them since they were assigned to me through the Nipsco home warranty plan. First I was told I'd be receiving their call within 4 hours. After 6 hours I finally called them, turns out they were calling my work phone and didn't even bother to ask for me by name. Then of course, by that time, it was too late to get service on the same day. Someone was finally able to come out at 7pm the following day. The guy came in, established that my sewer needed to be rodded out and said that he'd have to come back with another guy to get it done. Told me he was going outside to contact scheduling and would come back in to let me know when they could come back. Over a half hour later he came back in and told me that I would have to call scheduling between 9 and 10 on the next day. He did absolutely nothing for us. So I call back on Saturday, get their answering service and leave a message. Gave it at least an hour and didn't hear back so I called again. Then they tell me they're waiting on permission to rod out the sewer That was Saturday. Come today, Monday, I still haven't heard from them. Called the office and got the answering service again, left yet another message. In the mean time I called back the number of the technician that came out. He told me he'd call the office and have them call me. It's been a couple hours and I haven't heard anything from them. Finally called Nipsco back and am having a different company come out. Very unprofessional. Who knows, maybe they do actually do good work, but I wouldn't know since none was actually done.

I called to inquire about the service and the clerk Tracy was very rude and ignorant. She breathed and made strange noises in the phone as I asked her about my upcoming appointment. Every time I tried to speak, she spoke over my voice and cut me off. Please don’t use this service because you can not even ask a question to get clarity on the jobs that they are supposed to complete. The woman was very incompetent and because I wanted to know about the job and she was confused, she acted unprofessional. She actually said “Whooooo” loudly in the phone. I believe that they have been at my home before and we had the same issues that we are having to this day. When I asked for a manager or supervisor, she refused to transfer me and then stated that it was her company. They don’t want business. Be careful. Find another company that is reputable. I would love to give 0 stars.
