My hair color didn’t turn out exactly the way I pictured it. But the owner made sure to do a color fix a few days later at no charge. It’s perfect now! They really do go above and beyond to make sure their clients are happy!

Mac provides the best haircuts in Farmville. The haircuts that I receive are always precise, and he cuts my hair exactly as I request. He is an excellent conversationalist as well. I always leave having learned something new. I have been going to Mac for years, and I expect that I will continue to for years to come. I recommend him to anyone I know who's looking for a good barber.

I had a reiki session with Joy & after she was done she was telling me I need to lose weight but she’s bigger than me - over 240ish lbs. I felt like she’s projecting her insecurities out on me. She would tell me what to eat like volume eating. She also suggested I should try weight loss drugs like semaglutide. I never ask her on how to lose weight or any diet tips. I think it’s funny because she’s bigger than me & she’s telling me I need to lose weight. She’s projecting her insecurities out on me. I don’t think is normal for a reiki practitioner to bring up weight. I didn’t say anything to her about my weight because it’s nobody’s business. For someone that practices Reiki, imo she’s not a kind person. Joy doesn’t have the right to talk to me or anyone else like that in the future. I’m writing this review, so future customers can be wary of her.

Every time I speak, she always looks disgusted at me for some apparent reason. She would talk to me like I am stupid & every time I asked a question she would rolled her eyes.I’m new to reiki & energy work so I don’t know everything about it. I believe she’s in this reiki business to boost her ego. She would give me sexiest advice that I need to stop being masculine & work on my feminine side but imo we’re all have both. Joy said the reason I have issues with my reproductive organs is because I’m in my masculine energy & I should learn to be feminine & be soft. IMO, that’s very sexist.

The reiki session from her feels rushed. I said something about that & she said that she wants to go home. I don’t think she’s in the right mind mentally & spiritually to do Reiki on anyone. All of the employees are rude, condescending & fake. I won’t go back if you pay me.

There’s nobody in the boutique to help you out or for you to buy something & everything in that boutique is overpriced. It’s overpriced witchy items because that’s ‘the thing’ at the moment.

Overall, I don’t trust her & I won’t come back to this business.

I made an appointment with Stephanie to go from fully blonde to dark brown and keep some of my blonde.. she then tells me it will go perfect and to trust her (I shouldn’t have). She said it would cost $250(did not at all!!!)

She put red and orange filler on my head… for what I have no idea. So I leave with RED HAIR and little to no highlights through out my head at ALL..

She tells me once I’m ready to leave to make an appointment to come back and so that she can fix it… so I go and pay $340 for nothing that I wanted. After I had left I texted the Stephanie who had done my hair and told her I want to be DARK not RED with BLONDE highlights. She then says to me “ Hey! So I’m really worried about doing more highlights because now I have to pull through the two different colors that I put on it yesterday. In my professional opinion, I worry that the integrity of your hair wouldn’t take the lightening process without extreme damage. Especially since you’d want to be light and ashy like the ones in there now. I can try to remove some of the color we did yesterday but you could end up with a more balayage effect rather than the traditional highlighted look. Let me know what you would like to do and I’ll let you know if we can or if time allows for it… I then say to her, “ well the first picture is what i was expecting to pay for, but their isnt nearly enough highlights in it now like the first picture and its red. i know if my hair can not withstand more highlights right now can we at least do the dark brown rather then the red. i just barely see any highlights and im just really upset that i paid $340 on my hair for it to not nearly come out how i really wanted it too. if possible i’d like to add more highlights how it is in the reference picture and do the dark brown. i called out of work for thursday so that we can have more time. so i can come in earlier if need be or stay longer if need be. She then says to me “ I definitely understand your frustration. Here’s what I can offer you…I can tone down the red to be dark and some blonde extensions to give you some brighter pops of blonde without damaging the hair further. We can do either tape ins or a sew in but you would have to buy the hair. I’ll put them in for free the first time for you though.

Extensions?!!!! Are you kidding me. And I have to pay for them? No girl no

I then go home and cry, cry, and cry some more because my hair is red and looks AWFUL. I did not want to go back into that salon and sit in a chair. So I went in and asked for a refund.. the rude front desk woman “ one of the owners “ tells me I can not get a refund. That they can fix it but that is all. I was soo pissed. She was disrespectful and rude. Then the other owner Julie comes out and tells me how she will fix my hair, made me feel so much better only to go back to get it “fixed” to none stop hear about the integrity of my hair is not good and how it will really damage my hair even more. The “integrity” of my hair was not bad until I sat into the chair of that salon. The owner Julie also brought Stephanie into the room and told her off in front of me. Which is so beyond unprofessional. I left with blotchy uneven thick blonde highlights. No one at this salon knows what they are doing.

NEVER go to this salon. You WILL waste your money. I seriously have no clue how these people have their cosmetology license.

Heather was beyond amazing. She knocked my haircut out of the park! I told her to do whatever she thought would look good! She is beyond nice and patient with my thick hair.

I visited A Great Escape Spalon and received the worst haircut of my entire life. Before the haircut, I provided clear instructions and showed the hairstylist (Shawna) a video of exactly what I wanted. She indicated to me that the (very basic) style could be replicated.

Initially, the haircut seemed acceptable since my hair was wet and was not dried before I left, so I left a tip and went on my way. As my hair dried and settled, I realized that it was uneven, missing entire chunks of hair, and completely different from the reference video that I provided. Please see the attached photos which clearly show the unacceptable results of my visit. It is evident that Shawna lacks the skills and expertise necessary to execute a basic haircut.

When I called back in the evening to request a refund, I was informed by a completely indifferent Lisa that the salon never offers refunds. Instead, she told me that the salon offers a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. After this traumatizing experience, I do not feel comfortable ever stepping inside the salon again. Additionally, the haircut is so undeniably terrible that I doubt that it can be salvaged. Do not trust this business with your hair. The employees clearly lack both haircutting and customer service skills. Save your money and your tears and get your hair cut somewhere else.
