Was looking for a new driver since my last one had a crack in it and was looking for a modern upgrade anyway. I had done some research, but am still learning so I had some questions. They set me up in a bay to try out some clubs. They let me try the 3 that I was looking at and after a decent amount of time to try all of them, Dan came over and gave me some feedback on how things were looking. He seemed very knowledgeable and was able to help me narrow down my decision. In a very kind way, he explained that my swing itself is what was causing some issues (which I was aware of, so not at all like he was trying to make the club seem better than it was performing just to make a sale). He also made a point that he didn’t feel that a more expensive club was necessary which was good to hear because it made me feel as if he cared more about me getting a good club that fit my budget than trying to make money off of me. He even went out of his way to pull up their fitting software to show one of my shots to help better explain some information. He explained some things in reference to hockey sticks as I had mentioned earlier that I played hockey before, and made sure to ask about the grip in reference to what I had before and even what I used in hockey. Overall it was a positive experience and made me want to go back in the future for any purchases I may need. Would definitely recommend going and looking out for Dan as he was a great help!

Had the worst customer experience of recent memory this past weekend. While the check out associate did their best to help mitigate the issue with a returned product and gift card from the prior weekend they were unable to support and called their manager up. The manager barely considered the problem before pushing me to call their customer support center who redirected me back to the store for support. Ultimately there was no resolution and I am now out $330. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer focus and will be sure to avoid purchasing products at Golf Galaxy in the future.

Specific to lessons:

I bought a 6 pack of lessons a year ago, and have only used one. I can’t get a lesson time at the store closest to me unless I take a day off work, and when I went to this location, my 30 minute lesson ended up being about 18 minutes, with an instructor that was disinterested. I got absolutely nothing from my lesson, complete waste of money.

I got the lessons half price for Father’s Day in 2023. If I had paid the full $79 for the 30 minute lesson, I would be FURIOUS. As it stands, I consider my purchase a write off, I drove over an hour to the one lesson I was finally able to schedule and it absolutely wasn’t worth the drive.

I wish I could get my money back, or at least store credit for the money I threw away. Because I’m not even going to bother scheduling another one. I recommend skipping the lessons at Golf Galaxy.

That old man Robert isn't very helpful. Had a 7 iron head put to a new shaft and it lasted 20 swings before it flew off. Ended up they didn't remove something out of the new shaft so the iron head did not fit in all the way. Anyhow i took it back to get reglued/fixed and I shopped around and had $60 worth of items purchased before I went back fo figure out what the deal with the club was. I figured they would remove the obstruction from the shaft & re-glue the iron head no charge. Well good Old Robert decided that he wanted a receipt. If the guy really wanted proof he could have looked it up in their system. I just walked away and told him I was returning my items that I had purchased. Lost a customer for life.

I just want to take a moment to personally thank Robert in the Golf Services area at this location. He took the time to fix my putter on the spot for me - which I had not expected to be an option. He is a professional and a valuable asset to Golf Galaxy! I was able to use it again the very same day.

I want to edit my review. I originally left 2 stars as indicated below with my post sale experience. I did however recently receive a message from their team/store leadership and greatly appreciated not only his desire to want to understand more but also his transparency and honesty and more importantly moving the relationship forward. We’ll be going back for sure.

They completely missed the mark on helping me manage my custom club order. After having a custom fitting session and taking my money for the order I placed that day, I heard nothing for several weeks and had to keep following up with Golf Galaxy asking for updates on my order. I had to call GG 3 times before getting anyone that cared to call the manufacturer for an update, and that's only after I said I wanted a refund and said I would have chosen a different manufacturer had they properly educated me on lead times. It now seems as though all that they wanted that day was a quick sale from a new golfer...I definitely won't be spending any more of my $ at a GG or a DSG.

Usually has a decent stock of items. Picking up an online order was smooth. Store has been here for a long while so they must be doing something right.

Matt was the reason I chose to buy from here. He was awesome. He took me around to all the different irons and did a full explanation of everything. He then selected several different kinds for me to try.. we put tape over the brand name so I couldn’t “try” for one I really wanted but had false hope with.. I bought an expensive set but it was the right set.. thanks Matt! I’m glad I came here and will continue to do so.
