I have participated in several Nassau County events and each one has been a tribute to the diverse talents of the community and empowering for every individual involved. The organizers always show up professionally and more importantly it’s clear they are leading from the heart! The energy is dynamic, inclusive and for the people by the people. For the Puerto Rican Day Parade - I really enjoyed the youth dancers leading the way! I also loved that they featured a local female artist with new music (“baila”) which was perfect for the day and also a Puerto Rican Olympic Skateboarder! It was high energy, inspiring and represented the aspects of community that I wish we experienced more of these days. So much gratitude to Melissa Figueroa for your leadership and Melissa Bonilla for your talents and vocal gifts! Until next time 😊

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Puerto Rican Day Parade and was truly inspired by the incredible organization and the unwavering dedication of its volunteers. What a beautiful event! Thank you to the Nassau County Office of Hispanic Affairs for mobilizing Nassau residents to participate and represent at the largest Parade in NYC! Seeing the faces of the younger generation having the opportunity to shine in the middle of thousands if not millions of people is something they will never forget! This place have a office where they help you with immigration casa Yolanda the coordinator person in charge don’t really know what she doing and she rude with costumers noticed a lot of older people go seeking for help maybe immigration translate a letter and the way she speak to customers is really wrong even with some staff notice her tone of speaking she doesn’t help but questions more. she don’t need to be in the office where the population Hispanic where English is the second language go there for help not a good representative for the community
