Great community hospital serving the local population. The staff are kind and friendly. Even when it’s busy, the providers seem very attentive and seem to have the patient’s best interest in mind. I am sure everyone has their off days.

I read a lot of the bad reviews recently posted in the last year for this hospital. You have to take those with a grain of salt so to speak. Some of these reviewers are complaining about long wait times and that they had to leave. Perhaps they really didn’t have an emergency? It is an emergency room. It is not an outpatient clinic or an urgent care. People have to understand that there are sick patients that need to be triaged and treated, and if your condition is deemed minor after your triage out in the waiting room, you may get bumped down the list if there’s an emergency that comes in. And if it is an emergency, and something bad happens while you are in the waiting room, well, you are in the emergency department. So you are right where you should be.

Also, regarding some other bad reviews noting that they had to take their child to another hospital the next day or two days later, and they had a different or worsening of the original problem, this is what the doctors and other healthcare providers say in their discharge summaries that they provide patients. They rule out emergencies at the time and provide their best workup, including a history and exam and lab work or other tests if necessary, for the time being while giving instructions to recommend coming back to the ER if the patient has new or worsening symptoms. From my discharge summary, it said “disease processes are dynamic and can change. Although a diagnosis was not made that was considered emergent at this time, it may become emergent later on. Please come back to the emergency department if you have any new or worsening conditions.“

In addition, to the guy who complained of a "bumpy ambulance ride," I can't even fathom what it takes for someone to complain about something like that, then blame it on the hospital. Judging by your last name, your original country of origin may not be the United States. I challenge you to go back to your home country and then get your healthcare there. Then come back, and be thankful. I am also willing to bet some of these reviewers probably get free healthcare on the taxpayer's dime, and then still complain.

Everyone has their own experience, but when reviewers leave a one star review, a lot of poor grammar, punctuation marks like exclamation marks, and a lot of “feeling” and no objective examples, it’s generally a good idea to disregard those reviews as anything meaningful, in my experience.

They are not professional they don’t do things right that’s why everybody wants to Cadillac hospital. It is pathetic that they’re saying that they’re Train doctor 90 out of 100 people have died here but yet they’re on asking for the bill Othello community Hospital It’s a joke All they do is transfer you somewhere else The day I went for an emergency I remember each bump each stop sign that the ambulance Went through the emergency lights on it was a horrible experience. My family members got there way faster than the ambulance. It’s like they don’t even care about a person.

Horrible! And best believe we should all take action to have a better staff and medical team i took my son because he seemed off plus there was blood in his stool all they said how much is it like really you guys are the experts thats why im bringing him to you they did cotton swab to check for covid etc i wasn’t happy with this so called virus he had, my mom instinct wasn’t sitting right and well next day at 9am started to get my babies ready to bring him to Moses he had a serious bacteria! Imagine if i would’ve listened to them keep having drinks liquids and medicine he could’ve gotten way worse potentially life threatening my poor baby is only 5 and we’re on night 2 here in Moses lake getting treated for it! Completely disappointed in this medical staff!

From my experience, the main reason for this hospital is to transfer you somewhere else... And they aren't even good at that. It's always the same excuse--no one has a bed anywhere else, but we'll do our best to look. We sat in the ER room for almost six hours--no joke--and the only person who came in was maintenance. We had to go sit on the doorway to get attention... Even then we had to speak up for them to talk to us. We asked, "How is it going?" Doc said, "Good question." Nurse asked if we wanted the light off--six hours ago. I replied, "I might fall asleep. If I need to drive my wife to Spokane, I don't want to be drowsy." She replied, "Shouldn't you get some sleep, then?" What did she want me to do? Drape my body over the round stool? And they won't turn the malfunctioning alarm off! If they're supposedly monitoring my wife every thirty minutes, doesn't it show her vitals aren't being read? I agree--unless you're on death's door, drive to Richland or Spokane. What a joke. If it's called"Othello Community Hospital," this community should be embarrassed.
