It's disappointing that the HOA would prioritize nitpicking over something as trivial as the visibility of a small ice chest meant to provide free water to neighbors, especially when there are surely more important issues in our community. Instead of supporting a simple act of kindness, the HOA’s rigid enforcement of rules reflects a misplaced sense of priorities. This is not about bending rules but applying common sense and encouraging a community spirit that should be at the heart of any homeowners' association. But instead, they decide to fine a man that has been providing a safe space for his neighbors and community. Horrendous.

So this HOA continues to raise their fees, yet absolutely nothing has changed other than more excuses to harass and fine people! They have parking Nazis, fining people for giving free water! AND they STILL charge you to make your own payment to them! DISGUSTING!

Living in an extreme climate where survival depends on essentials like water, food, and shelter access to free water could be a lifesaver. But this HOA chooses to prioritize their finances over the well-being of the community. It's disappointing to see them penalize residents and hide behind an attorney because their residents were showing basic human decency by looking out for each other.

A dude wants to provide cool water bottles outside his garage in a cooler to all those who get out and do some physical exercise. Kids playing or adults jogging. He don’t care.

But a few Karen’s with most likely heavy kids who only stay inside and play video games and are part of the HOA are scared of a cooler on his driveway infront of his garage.

All new residents review this HOA before buying.

Canyon Trails is listed with a 4.1 overall rating out of 7 on here. I count 13 overall review ratings on here. Many 1 star ratings have been given for the guy who is being targeted for posting signs about handing out free water. They are doing this because they are worried about the types of people it will attract to their H.O.A. and how it makes them appear. If they are wise they will let it go, because the negative publicity and the level of awareness it will raise in our country will greatly outweigh their personal desires and goals meant to be achieved from their fines. May attention be additionally drawn to how the overall rating is not accurately based on ratings.

Fining someone over some free water is ridiculous. You guys should be ashamed. Who cares if he put a sign up saying free water. Jeezus. It's ridiculous that these people buy their houses and can't put a damn sign up. HOAs are ridiculous. Telling you what you can and can't do to your own property.

Lol HOA? More like the water police fining a guy for putting up a sign he's giving out free water trying to help the community. Because somehow that's so terrible for home prices. I wouldn't recommend living here given the HOAs priorities

Fining someone for offering free water is ridiculous no matter what the additional reasonings beyond that simple act may be. But that alone should be enough of a ? to warn you how they'll act while dealing with them if you plan to buy a property managed here or any others managed by the same company.
