Very professional, helpful and nice staff .
I wish all those reading this the best , but not good luck, as results are directly proportionate to education and effort, luck has nothing to do with it.
This place doesn't discriminate. Everyone is welcomed.
There are other unions and other halls. However, in my humble opinion, the team at H.Tx. is the best ! That's why I personally chose this location to trust with my career. Knowledgeable guidance makes a world of difference in every aspect !

There is an apprenticeship program available for qualifying candidates wishing to enter the maritime industry.

Is not a good company to come aboard on the person I talk to was rude in told me I’m calling up to much when I just need little advice is I ever need that being said you guys please look towards another union to begin your career I don’t think seafers a good place to start off.

On November 2022, my friend contacted me on Messenger that his co-worker, Seth worked as an oiler on the oil tanker and desperately needed help. At that time, their ship anchored in the Panama seas. Seth's mother in the Philippines died, and his family held a wake for three weeks. They waited for Seth to come home for the burial. Despite this incident, Seth was being held against his will. The captain prevented Seth from leaving the ship. He already finished his nine-month contract and felt very depressed. My friend asked me to call ITF, but their contact information is in London, UK. So, I called Seafarers International Union here in Houston. The man who answered the phone was very kind and helpful. He asked for Seth's information, and they were able to locate the oil tanker. He told me that ITF inspector Shwe contacted Panama Maritime Authority to assist Seth with repatriation. Thank you, Seafarers International Union. Because of your assistance, Seth finally returned to the Philippines. God bless you!
