Everybody here was extremely helpful and kind throughout the process of adopting our perfect dog, Luigi. I already felt he was a perfect fit, but having the option to have a week to foster and decide after seeing how it goes was extremely helpful. That and the actual adoption process were both very easy. Renee checked in to see how it was going halfway through the week and was really sweet. They seem to really care about all of the animals there and finding them good homes that can meet their needs. Luigi loves his new home and his new little big sister, we recommend any other shelter!

Friendly people, clean facilities, and private rooms to meet dogs and cats. They work hard to socialize the animals. There was a return person with his pet, of ten years, looking for his aunt. The reader board was helpful to see who was available to meet. We have a pup! Thank you for our little companion💛

After the loss of my dog I looked for a new companion and best friend. No animal hit me like Sundance (Now Jack) when we first met him.

The team was so patient with my few visits, helpful with loads of questions, and super friendly staff that really care for the well-being of the animals. We were in and out for the adoption in about an hour. We met with 2 dogs and had sundance do his meet and greet with our other dog. The paperwork process was a breeze and we were off with my new best furry friend resting in my lap.

He's been such a lovable boy just wanting to play fetch for hours! He's also made himself right at home in our workshop!

My two pups recently got out and were taken to puppy prison. I got a call from Bright Side immediately when they ran their chips and I got them an hour later. The staff member I spoke with in receiving was very kind and compassionate about my dogs and you could tell she was there for the animals. I had looked at adopting from them in the past and ended up finding a better fit with a different stray.
Bright Side is a great organization!

I heard you could get help from the shelter with a small amount of pet food when in a time of need. I just so happen to be in a pinch and was needing some help to get me through to my next payday. As I walked in the door feeling a little uneasy, I was greeted by the nicest person. I asked about the pet food help and without even batting an eye she responded with "sure! No problem!, what size is your pet? " I told her and she handed me a good two or three day supply. After chatting a bit I left feeling confident and relieved knowing I would make it to payday with my pet not being hungry. Thank you so much to the person who helped to restore my confidence with no judgement or criticism.

The staff and facility at Brightside (especially Alicia at the front desk)are amazing, with the exception of the smarmy condescending director who thinks she is just the best trainer and dog psychiatrist ever. Im from ohio, we invented the backhanded insults and belittling comments. Drax now Bruno is a perfect fit for our family. He loves to hug and cuddle and go for long car rides. He is the perfect energy level. Clean well cared for animals. Professional medical team. And fair pricing.
